The South Korean oil tanker Samho Dream has arrived in Somali waters after being hijacked by Somali pirates last Sunday, the Korean foreign ministry said Thursday. The 300,000-ton tanker is now anchored some 7.2 km off the Somali coast. The Korean naval destroyer Chungmugong Yisunshin - which has been tracking the Samho Dream since earlier this week - did not stop it from entering the pirate-infested Somali waters (IOD Apr.7,p7).
