Eni is expanding its global trading team and moving the headquarters of its trad- ing and shipping arm to London, bucking the trend among oil traders of shifting to Geneva for its lower personal taxes and lighter regulation. With integrated giants such as BP scaling back on trading operations and independent traders Vitol and Trafigura transferring some trading teams to Switzerland, the Italian ma- jor is consolidating all of its trading opera- tions in the UK capital.
