Japanese explorer Inpex plans to raise up to 587.2 billion yen ($6.67 billion) to finance projects through a global share offering. The company will issue 1.22 million new shares in Japan and overseas, boosting the number of shares outstanding by 52%. It has hired Nomura Securities and Goldman Sachs International as joint global coordinators; the offer price will be set from Jul. 26-28. The Japanese firm will issue a further 84,000 shares if there is strong investor demand.
