Bolivia Decries Gas Report

Bolivia's state gas firm - which has hint- ed that the country's gas reserves may be far lower than previously thought - says a draft report by reserve-certification firm Ry- der Scott leaves out some key fields. In recent weeks, a controversy has erupted in Bolivia over Ryder Scott's pre- liminary reserve analysis. Rumors have cir- culated that Ryder Scott may have found just 8 Tcf of proven reserves, far less than the 12.8 Tcf that DeGolyer and Mac- Naughton found during Bolivia's last study in 2006 (IOD Oct.22,p6).
