Maiden Qatari LNG Cargo Heads for China's Guangdong Terminal

The Guangdong Dapeng LNG terminal in Shenzhen expects to receive its first Q-Flex cargo of LNG from Qatar on Oct. 18, a source at the terminal said (IOD Aug.17,p3). This will mark the start of China National Offshore Oil Corp.'s (CNOOC) term contract to import 2 million tons per year of LNG from Qatargas, following a binding sales and purchase agreement signed in mid-2008 (IOD Jun.26'08,p7).
