Mitra Inks New Vietnam PSCs

Malaysia-based Mitra Energy has signed up for exploration blocks 19 and 20 off Vietnam. The company said last week it will partner Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co. (Kufpec) and Singapore Petroleum Co. (SPC) in the production sharing contracts (PSCs), in the Western Nam Con Son Basin. Both were awarded in the 2008 Nam Con Son Basin bid round. Mitra will operate both blocks with 40%, with Kufpec on 40% and SPC on 20%.
