A pretrial conference in a landmark case over the alleged involvement of Royal Dutch Shell in the execution of Nigerian activists in the 1990s has been delayed until Wednesday, according to US court papers (IOD May27,p1). The conference was announced last week following a decision by the US Southern District Court of New York to delay the start of the trial. The conference was due to be held Monday, but has now been put back until Wednesday. No reason was given for the delay in the order signed by Judge Kimba Wood.
