Australia's offshore oil and gas industry could be hit as early as Monday by industrial action at shipping companies that serve offshore drilling and production operations. The Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) is planning a 48-hour strike, set to begin at midnight Monday, against Farstad Shipping, a Norway-based shipping company. The strike could affect 17 of 20 ships the company operates in Australia.
