Kuwait Oil Chief Discusses Delayed Refinery

Kuwaiti government officials met on Tuesday with representatives of China's powerful National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and state oil giant Sinopec to discuss long-standing plans to build a refinery- petrochemical project at Nansha in Guangdong province. "Today, we met with Sinopec, our partner, and with the chairman of the NDRC," Oil Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah al-Sabah told reporters after the meeting.
