Singapore-based offshore and marine services provider Swiber says it is confident that shallow-water demand will remain strong over the next year. The firm said Monday that it is targeting markets in the region, particularly India, as well as the Middle East, for further growth, despite the economic downturn and lower oil prices. "We are in a recession now and oil prices have come down, but that also makes oil more affordable. There is no doubt that the medium- to long-term view remains favorable," Chief Executive Raymond Goh said.
