Sweden's Lundin Petroleum and US-based Marathon have commenced work on the Viper and South Kneler prospects, located in production license (PL) 203 in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The Viper prospect will be drilled by the 25/4-10S well, which will then be sidetracked as well 25/4-10AS to the South Kneeler prospect to a planned depth of about 2,200 meters. The wells will be drilled using the semisubmersible Transocean Winner drilling rig and the drilling operation is expected to take about 55 days.
