Australia's Santos has started producing gas from the Oyong oil and gas field in the Sampang Block off East Java, project partner Cue Energy said Friday. Output is expected to plateau at 57.72 MMcf/d this month. The gas will be transported via a 60 km pipeline from the offshore Oyong production facility to an onshore processing plant at Grati, East Java. The gas will supply Indonesia Power under a gas sale agreement for the field's entire life.
