A polyoxometalate-based lanthanide-organic framework was achieved using the {[Ho_4(dpdo)_8(H_2O)_(16)BW_(12)O_(40)] (H_2O)_2}~(7+) nanocage as a secondary building block for the heterogeneous catalysis of phosphodiester cleavage in an aqueous solution.
