HOUSTON (ICIS)--Caustic soda demand remains weak in Brazil, in line with the country's troubled economy, market sources said. Brazil consumed 1.197m dry metric tonnes (dmt) of liquid caustic soda in the first seven months of 2016, down by 13% from the 1.374m dmt consumed in the same period in 2015, according to data released late last week by the country's association of chlor-alkali industries, Abiclor.
