In this study, the biosorption of zinc(II) and copper(II) tons in a binary solution onto pericarps Oak acorns was studied in a batch system as a function of pH of the solution, biosorbent concentration, initial concentration of ions, contact time and temperature. The removal efficiency of Zn(II) and Cu(II) was about 88.76 % at different temperatures. It was determined that the biosorption system obeyed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model by talcing into account the correlation coefficient value (R~2 > 0.99). The Freundlich isotherm gave a better fit based on the values of the correlation coefficients (R~2 > 0.99). The results indicated that, pericarps Oak acorns could be used as an alternative and low-cost biosorbent for removal of zinc(II) and copper(II) ions from aqueous solutions, when suitable conditions are performed.
