摘要

Some novel substituted thiazolo[3,2-a]pyridine (2-8) and thioxopyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine (10-12) derivatives have been synthesized by initial reactions of 2-[(5-methylfuran-2-yl)methylene]malononitrile with 2-mercaptoacetic acid and thiourea, respectively. Their cyclization with HCl/AcOH, formamide and formic acid afforded a series of polycyclic heterocycles. The structures of the target compounds were confirmed by elemental analyses and spectral data.
