EGAS Finalizes LNG Purchase Contracts with Vitol, Noble Clean Fuels Limited and Gazprom

On 16 and 19 February Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) finalized the second and third liquefied natural gas (LNG) purchase contracts it had concluded with Noble Clean Fuels Limited, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Noble Group, and Vitol respectively, following the tender it issued for the import of 75 cargoes of LNG in 2015 and 2016, Oil Minister Sherif Ismail, has announced. These contracts follow the one signed in early February with Trafigura for the supply of 33 cargoes during the same period. The contract awarded to BP for the supply of another 21 cargoes of LNG could be signed at the end of March, added Mr. Ismail (AOG, 16 Feb., 2015). Furthermore, on 17 March the Oil Ministry finalized an LNG sale and purchase agreement concluded with Gazprom for the supply of 35 cargoes of LNG starting in mid-2015, calling for the Russian company to deliver seven cargoes a year over five years.
