EGPC and EGAS Assign Seven Exploration Licenses Calling for Spending of $187.4 Million and the Drilling of 29 Wells

On the occasion of the annual shareholders’ meetings of Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Ganoub El Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope) held to examine their results for 2013-14, the Oil Minister, Mr. Sherif Ismail, announced that seven new exploration licenses had been awarded following the “International Bid Rounds 2013” launched by EGPC and EGAS last December.
