Woodside Petroleum Is Going to Acquire a 25% Interest in the Leviathan Project

Noble Energy and its partners announced on 6 February that they had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Woodside Energy Mediterranean Pty. Ltd., an indirect affiliate of the Australian company Woodside Petroleum, for the sale of a 25% interest in the Rachel/349 and Amit/350 licenses, which contain the offshore Leviathan field. The MOU covers the supply of gas to the domestic Israeli market, the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and gas exports to neighboring countries.
