Noble Energy Now Favors Exporting Gas to Regional Markets Rather Than the LNG Option

In a presentation to the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Energy Conference, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Noble Energy, Mr. Charles Davidson, indirectly criticized the Israeli government for having taken an "incredibly lengthy" time finally to give the go-ahead for the export of natural gas. Answering questions from conference delegates (reproduced by Seeking Alpha), Mr. Davidson nevertheless acknowledged that there was now a "good export policy" in place, but said the delay had put back the development of the Leviathan field by around a year.
