Vale delays first Nacala exports to third quarter

Brazilian mining group Vale has pushed back the start date for its first coal exports from the Nacala rail corridor and port in Mozambique to the third quarter. The new target is the latest delay to the project, which will allow Vale to directly load Capesize vessels at the new Nacala port with coking and thermal coal. Vale had planned to start shipments last year but said in July that coal exports would not begin until the first quarter of 2015.
