Environmental groups are filing suit against federal regulators over the finalization of Utah’s regional haze plan to control emissions at two coal-fired power plants. The lawsuit fired last week by the Sierra Club, HEAL Utah and the National Parks Conservation Association alleges that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) failed to promulgate a federal implementation plan for regional haze rules that require the installation of best available retrofit technology (BART) at Rocky Mountain Power’s 895MW Huntington and 1,320MW Hunter coal-fired power plants.
