River-served utilities face delivery delays

US river-served utilities seeking to rebuild coal inventories are facing delays after rough weather earlier this winter has disrupted barge service. Operating conditions are mostly back to normal along the upper Ohio river, as well as the Monongahela, Kanawha and Big Sandy rivers. Heavy ice remains along the Illinois and upper Mississippi rivers as well as the lower Ohio.
