Alpha adds to credit facility, gets relaxed terms

Alpha Natural Resources added $125mn to its secured credit facility and relaxed certain terms in the credit agreement to increase its liquidity as it weathers challenges to the thermal and metallurgical coal markets. The company raised the facility limit to $1.725bn from $1.6bn, increasing the limit on the revolving portion of the debt and refinancing a term loan in the package.
