Floods may close Mississippi river locks

The corps expects to close locks 16 through 22, spanning mile marker 458 just south of Rock Island, Illinois, through mile marker 301 near Hannibal, Missouri, starting anywhere from 19-21 April depending on that section's status. The locks will reopen after the river crests, which is expected in some areas on 21 April and others on 22 April.
