摘要

A model for the simulation of corrosion processesof mineral building materials is provided. The model combinesthe calculation of several transport processes with thequantitative simulation of the chemical reactions. The model wasverified by experiments on the corrosion of cement mortar bysulfate solutions and acid, the corrosion of cement mortar andconcrete in a seepage water treatment plant (ammonium attack),and the corrosion of a sandstone with calcitic binder by acidicsolutions with and without sulfate content. The correspondingsimulations were calculated using solely the properties of theuncorroded materials (experimentally determined or estimated bythe literature). The comparison of the measured and calculatedcorrosion behaviour lead to the conclusion that the algorithm isable to simulate very different corrosion processes without anychange of the model, despite some difficulty in detail.
