Fast-track construction spurs innovation on Ipswich Motorway

When construction on the Ipswich Motorway Upgrade: Wacol to Darra started in early 2008, the workforce skills shortage in South-east Queensland was at a crisis, prompting the successful tenderer SAFElink Alliance, to set up an on-site training facility -one of a number of fast-track innovations. THE ALLIANCE is made up of the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (also the client), Leighton Contractors, BMD Constructions, AECOM and Arup.
