摘要

Recent advances in fluorescence imaging have made this technique indispensable not only for in vitro investigations of cells and proteins, but also for in vivo imaging. The sensitivity of in vivo fluorescence imaging, which is generally limited by autofluorescence, absorbance, light scattering, and penetration depth, has been improved significantly, for example, by employing switchable probes.
