Merger on track as Terex mulls Zoomlion bid

Terex Corp. will continue its merger plans with Finnish crane manufacturer Konecranes Plc even as it is considers an unsolicited $3.26-billion bid from Chinese construction machinery producer Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co. Ltd."The Terex board of directors is working with its legal and financial advisers and is in discussion with Zoomlion, carefully reviewing (the proposal) to determine the course of action in the best interest of our shareholders," president and chief executive officer John Garrison said during a Feb. 17 earnings conference call.
