Grede begins $17.5-million expansion at Minn. Foundry

Grede Holdings LLC broke ground this past week on a $17.5-million expansion of its St. Cloud, Minn., foundry that will add more than 32,000 square feet to the facility and another melt furnace. The expansion, targeted for completion by the fall, is expected to add up to 30 jobs at the iron castings manufacturing facility, the Southfield, Mich.-based company said Jan. 15.
