Mount Milligan mine throughput slowly improves

Mill throughput at Thompson Creek Metals Co. Inc.’s Mount Milligan copper-gold mine in British Columbia improved in May, after operational challenges impeded output in the first quarter. However, it has yet to reach full production capacity and faces planned maintenance shutdowns. Mount Milligan’s daily throughput in May averaged 50,686 tonnes, while tonnage per operating hour averaged 2,198 tonnes.
