Nevada Copper’s mine project moves forward

Nevada Copper Corp.’s Pumpkin Hollow copper mine project is moving ahead as the transfer of federal land to the city of Yerington, Nev., nears completion. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management issued a finding July 16 that there would be no significant impact as a result of the land transfer. It also issued a record of decision regarding the congressionally mandated conveyance of lands to the city, facilitated by President Obama’s signing of the National Defense Authorization Act in December (amm.com, Dec. 23).
