摘要

maternal stress or glucocorticoid excess has previously been shown to predispose the offspring to hypertension later in life (3, 8,24, 31,45). Glucocorticoids decrease food intake (6), and fetal blood pressure can similarly be programmed by low prenatal protein diet (9, 21, 23, 26-28, 32, 33, 38, 40, 43, 44). The maternal mechanisms that link maternal protein depletion or glucocorticoid excess to fetal programming of blood pressure remain far from understood.
