This computational error also changed numbers quoted in the text and some numbers shown in Tables 4 and 5. The revised estimates of additional unwanted births and maternal deaths per 100 HIV infections are slightly lower than those shown in the published article. However, the basic conclusion remains valid. At the macro level, the decision to withdraw DMPA from family planning programs is not warranted.
