SAFETY standards and regulations are not enough to deal with accidents, according to Australian National University senior research fellow Jan Hayes. Speaking at the Australian Pipeline Industry Association annual conference in Adelaide recently, Hayes has drawn on the lessons learnt from the San Bruno pipeline rupture.
