The French council of state, the Conseil d’état, has cancelled the March 2014 order of the Minister of Agriculture banning the marketing, use and cultivation of Monsanto’s genetically modified insect-resistant MON810 maize. The country’s top court took the decision on an appeal against the ban by the general association of maize growers, the AGPM, and other farming bodies.
