摘要

A legal effort to force DuPont and Syngenta to release internal documents on genetically modified crops and foods has been transferred to federal court in the US state of Vermont. US District Judge Leonard Stark on May 13th granted the request of Vermont state officials to move the case out of the US District Court for the District of Delaware. The judge agreed that the issue is best resolved by the US District Court for the District of Vermont, which is considering litigation brought by the food industry that aims to upend the state's GMO labelling law. The decision comes despite the opposition of both companies, which argued that there was little merit in the request and no need for the dispute to be moved to the Vermont court.
