Growers and seed suppliers are raising their voices as the Argentine Parliament debates the formation of a new seed law. Monsanto’s national president, Juan Farinati, has reportedly welcomed “important progress” in confronting illegal practices in the seeds market. A framework rather than a new law could create space for suppliers to launch their technology, he told national newspaper La Nacion.
