USDA Oks syngenta’s herbicide- tolerant maize

The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has deregulated Syngenta’s genetically modified glyphosate and glufosinate-ammonium herbicide-tolerant MZHG0JG maize. It has issued a final environmental assessment (EA) and a finding of no significant impact (FONSI). The APHIS made a preliminary deregulation determination in October and issued a preliminary FONSI and a draft EA.
