Bayer plans safer dicamba product for US maize

Bayer CropScience plans to introduce a dicamba-based maize herbicide for the control of broadleaf weeds in the US in 2015. DiFlexx incorporates Bayer's Crop Safety Innovation safener technology, which will give farmers "more crop safety than they find with other dicamba products", says US maize marketing manager Jody Wynia. DiFlexx is suitable for use from pre-plant burn-down through to post-emergence, the company notes.
