Members of the European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee have urged the European Commission to review the impact of agrochemical legislation on the availability of products for the horticultural sector. In particular, the efficiency of procedures for granting national product approvals needs improvement, and the recent restrictions on neonicotinoid insecticides need a rethink. The calls come in a resolution adopted by the Committee in January on the future of Europe’s horticulture sector.
