UPL agchem sales up 12% in 2014/15

Indian agrochemical company UPL recorded an agrochemical sales rise of 12.4% to Rs 112,100 million ($1,748 million at the current rate) in its financial year ended March 31st 2015. Agrochemicals accounted for 92.7% of the company’s consolidated gross revenues of Rs 120,910 million ($1,885 million), which grew by 12.3%. Domestic sales, which made up over 21.7% of total revenues, provided the main boost, rising by 16.8% to Rs 26,220 million ($409 million). International sales on all products grew by 11.1% to Rs 94,690 million ($1,476 million). Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) on total sales rose 17.1% to Rs 23,630 million. Profit after tax was up by 14.5% to Rs 11,850 million.
