Nufarm saw positive results in Europe, Asia and the Americas in the first quarter (August-October) of fiscal 2016 and expects to deliver improved operating earnings for the full year ending July 31st 2016. Delivering his first address to the annual general meeting of shareholders this month, Nufarm managing director and CEO Greg Hunt said that agrochemical sales in Australia reflected lower market demand during the first quarter but were starting to pick up. Earnings are expected to be in line with or ahead of last year by the end of the first half. “Improved pricing discipline and further cost savings will be key contributors to that outcome.” Mr Hunt said.
