New Bayer plant in India

Bayer CropScience and its Indian joint venture,Bilag Industries(Vapi),are investing in a new production plant in India for the neonicotinoid insecticide,imidacloprid.The plant will have an annual capacity of 500 tonnes and will supply both the domestic and overseas markets."The inauguration of the imidacloprid plant underlines our strong partnership with Bilag Industries,which is one of the strategic cornerstones of our global manufacturing strategy," says Bayer CropScience chairman Dr Jochen Wulff.
