The effects of current value and time treatments on plantlet regeneration were studied in this research. Carnation stems containing at least five nodes were exposed to 0, 10, 15, or 20 milliampers (mA) for 10 or 15 minutes, then the sterilized nodal explants were cultured on MS medium. Six traits, including stem thickness, shoot length, leaf number per shoot, shoot number per explant after two months, percentage of plantlet regeneration after two weeks, and percentage of virus-free plantlets after transferring rooted plantlets to soil, were measured. The best result for plantlet regeneration trait was obtained in 0 and 10 miliampers respectively. In the highest current value treatments (20 mA for 10 or 15 minutes) plantlet regeneration rates were 86.6 and 60.6%, respectively, and the highest virus-free plantlets was obtained 13.6 and 16% in Treatments of 20 mA for 10 minutes and 10 mA for 15 minutes respectively.
