Committed to Safety: Manitoba is working on creating a new automotive safety association

By 2017, Manitoba will have a fully operational automotive industry safety association. It will offer courses, resources, and safety certification that will earn businesses a discount on their Workers Compensation Board (WCB) fees. "We are committed to being a safe industry," says Geoff Sines, director of the Manitoba Motor Dealers Association (MMDA). "A safety association will set standards, provide resources, and help us to recruit young people into our industry because they will see it as a safe place to work."
