Experiments were conducted in Jilin, China, in 2001 to elucidate the relationship between soil conditions and growth, leaf photosynthesis, nutrient uptake, and mycorrhizal infection of 2 highbush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum) cultivars (Bluecrop and Northland). Mineral soils were amended with organic materials and sulfur in the field and in pots. For the soil amendement treatment, the organic materials were mixed with soil at 1:1 ratio in volume.
