Interest for the front-month (April) Powder River Basin8,800 Btu/lb contract has increased the past few days in the US overthe-counter thermal coal market, sources said Thursday, with asecond trade in as many days pushing up the contract’s price.Brokers reported Thursday a deal for the front-month PRB 8,800contract at $9.40/st for one train (15,000 st). Another deal at the sameprice and volume was made late Thursday after the market closed, asource said.
