Sunrise Coal restructures contracts,boosts Oaktown production

Sunrise Coal has modified coal supplyagreements with several major utility customers, a moveaimed at ensuring the Illinois Basin producer has “a goodbase of business” for the next five years, according to BrentBilsland, CEO of Hallador Energy, Sunrise’s parent company.The final restructuring deals are expected to be signed inthe next few weeks as Sunrise transfers virtually all of its productionto the two Oaktown underground continuous mineroperations in Knox County, Indiana, acquired from VectrenFuels in 2014, Bilsland told analysts during a conference call.
