Buying interest for Northwest Europe-deliveredindustrial wood pellets was scarce this week, dragging spotprices to a fresh low, with traders saying major generatorswere in no rush to secure volumes and US producers werenot showing any need to shed prompt cargoes.Platts last week assessed the weekly price of CIF NWEurope industrial wood pellets basis 17 GJ/mt for deliverywithin the next 7-45 days, January 16 – February 23 at $178/mt, down $1 on-week and the lowest since Platts assessmentsstarted in August.
